It is time that Congress pass the Free Trade Agreement with Colombia. it will level the playing field for US Exports to Colombia and it will help support Colombian civil society. Colombia is one of our biggest allies in Latin America. We need to promote free trade with our allies. Recently import duties were added to flowers coming to the US from Colombia. This is a step backwards in our relations with the largest producer of fresh flowers in our hemisphere. Many US jobs depend on flower imports from Latin America.
